07 Grizzly Exhaust
#1
I have a 700 grizzly.I only have a couple hundred miles on it.I live in wisconsin and last week during Deer hunting. It was cold. I noticed my exhaust system makes noise when idling. It sounds like the heating of the aluminum shield and vibration together.when i start it up it doesn,t do it. It starts making noise when it starts to get hot.I can take a rag and push up against the shield on the side of the machine and the sounds goes away considerably. Its very annoying. And not only that , everybody looks over and says whats that noise.Brand New Machine?Does anybody else experience that noise and if so what was the fix

Jeff,
I too have a new 700 Grizzly with about 150 miles on it. Mine doesn't make any noise like you describe. Could something be loose under there? Have you had your Grizzly quit running unexpectedly?

Sounds like the exhaust heat shield is resonating from engine vibration. Are all of the mounting bolts for the exhaust tight? Has a stick or log gotten jammed up in their during a trail ride and bent something? Should be a pretty easy fix, just need to find out whats resonating.
Neither of our Grizzly 700s do that. Don't even get me started about the Jeep and all of its wierd noises and vibrations though, LOL.
