they say its great for smaller people or medium sized kids. 100-130 lbs I guess if ridden hard, more weight if not real hard on the jumps.

Yea, I thought this thing would be perfect for the wife. It would be awhile before I purchased one. Just trying to do the homework now.

We bought one for our youngest son (age 11). It is a great little ATV, and we all enjoy riding it when we can pry the kid off of it. My wife even likes riding it.

I don't have it but I have read that it's top speed isn't the most impressive but pretty good for a 250.

Well, it would be something for the wife, so the top speed isnt to much an issue as long as its not a dog.

I'm sure it'll top out as something in the 50's, so I'm guessing that's enough.

Nothing on the Raptor 250 is "bad" in my opinion. Everything is at least good, and alot about it is great.

Power is good for a 250 four stroke, with excellent torque for hillclimbs. The only hills you may have problems with are hills that require big horsepower, and not just torque, such as really big sand dunes. Don't expect to climb Choke Cherry Hill at the St. Anthony Dunes with a Raptor 250.

Suspension is a touch on the stiff side, for an 80 lb. rider like my son, but surprisingly good for more normal sized riders. It will even handle sand whoops in fifth gear with my lard butt riding it.

Handling is its best attribute. It feels super light and is easy to ride.
