Raptor 250 questions

Yep, you will have to deal with the permission slip until you turn 18. If you tell your parents your going to try to pass as a 16 year old (Show them the goofy regs about how you cant ride your quad because it has an extra 30cc's) and they sign the slip you should be golden. I think you should bump up to a 400, because the 450 has about 4 times as much power as your 300, and things can get ugly really fast. The 400 is better for trailriding anyways.

Yeah I think I should bump up to the 400 as well I just have to find some money.. I think id rather just put some money into upgrading my ex and see if that is enough. Would modifying the airbox and addidng a new muffler make a difference in throttle response? I have noticed that it does not have much torque. Would better tires improve handling?
Thanks
Thanks

definetly go up to the 400 if it was me doing it.
You could do the air box and muffler and you will have more power and yes better tires do improve handleing a lot. But you will still be just fixing up a 300.

a 450 with 4x as much power as a 300? now that is an AMAZING quad.
Im amusing the 300 has about 18hp so 4x18= 72hp
Maybe the 300 has only 15 hp, but the 450s in stock form probably only have about 3x the power of a 300.
(by the way: even 2x the power will BLOW YOU AWAY. a yz250f has about 2x the hp as my quad and exactly 1.5x the torque- It is scary to hold it wide open in 3rd gear even for less than 2 seconds)

I would move up to a 400 too if i had the money. That is out of the question right now.. A 400 would be $5000+ and upgrades would be $500+..
I dont think he meant 4x the power literally, im sure the 450's do feel like the have at least 3x as much power.. I dont think it was meant to be a mathmatical statement on his part.
