Default Yamaha warrior stage 2 cam?

I am looking for some info. on putting a stage 2 cam in my warrior. I can install it, but I am wondering if it makes a difference in performance. Also can I run a stage 2 cam with stock valves and rockers. I have a DG exhaust system, jet, and a K&N filter. Other than that it is stock. Thanks for any info!

Any cam will make a difference in performance. I recommend the Webcam .430" (84 grind) with heavy duty valve springs. This cam will make a huge difference. If you decide to go with the Hotcam stage 2, you can run the stock valves and rockers, but you may need the heavy duty valve springs.

thanks for the info. I will probably go with the hotcam and heavy duty springs b/c of the price. I'll let you know how it runs!

Yeah please do let me know. Really the Webcam is no more expensive, you just have to front the core charge until you turn in your old one, then you get that money back.

Yeah you can use the stock valves and rockers. They will hold up fine, just make sure you get the HD valve springs. And be ready when you change it to have the bearings pressed off or just buy new bearings and have them pressed onto the new cam.

Just buy the new outer camshaft bearing, its only $15. You are more likely to cause future issues by removing the pressed on bearing and reusing than just spending the $15 and replacing it.
