What can be done to up the power on a wolverine 450, and what can I expect out of the mods? I bought one, and like trial riding it, but it lacks just a lil in the power department.

start with a pipe filter and jet kit for more all around power.
epi clutch kit if you want more low end for taller tires
Hauck racing clutch modification for all around power and higher top speed.(they machine it to what mods you want.
cam for good torque
or the 488 bbk and cam and all of the above.

pmcc37 I got mine right from the local Yamaha Dealer. I shopped around and they were all competitively priced and I'm also a fan of spending my money in town.

Yeah I know what you mean, I have a local Motorcycle shop that does all my work, but sometimes they are a lil pricey.

But you realize... no matter what you or I or ctate have done it'll always be a 450 Yamaha not a 700.

I've come to grips with that and now am proud to have one of the most bad a$$ 450s' in town.

Or... I'm just the moron who actually spent a ton of money upgrading mine. Nahh... I do have one of the most bad a$$ 450s' and the only person who thinks I'm a moron is my wife.

For other reasons... of course.

Of course, If I wanted a yfz, I'll ride my buddies that stays in my shop the woly does its purpose, and does it well, I believe, gives the wife something comfortable to ride plus I get to tear up dirt on it as well lol
Esp. Since I'm more into sport bikes than big 4x4's, I'll take the ole 350 Big Bear anywhere the bigg grizzilies go

I'm looking at the same options and the first mod I'm going to do is the Hauck clutch work. From everything I've read that is the biggest bang for your buck mod on the Wolverine 450.
