alright ill check for leaks in the exhaust, the octane booster adds 6 points, and premium is 94... so thats 100, but im going to try to get some vp racing fuel. could the wrong spark plug type be cuasing the problem? theres an iridium plug in there right now, but i bought it off ebay so i dont know if it actually is the right one or not

Nope, neither octane or spark plug will cause backfire.

well its only on deacceleration, im thinking maybe my exhaust temps are running to high becusae i have heat wrap on the back part of my headers...so the exhaust fumes are igniting off the exhaust pipe maybe?

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>Originally posted by: 700R Ripper

well its premium fuel with octane booster, why do you say its an odd combo for mods?</end quote></div>

you shouldn't run octane boosters in quads b/c of all the additives, like beefy said 1/2 prem, and 1/2 vp is a very good combo to run

"Even if that isn't causing this problem it will create problems in the future, so I would definately look into running at least a 50/50 mix of racing and premium."
