Hallo,

I bought an yamaha motor and fitted it onto my go-kart and it worked very nice. Yesterday me and my friends drove the afternoon and I let it ran without any oil in the petrol (2-stroke). It became hot and then it just died.

Now i want to buy new rings and berings but i don't know what model it is.

Is there any way I can know what model or year this motor is??

Please HELP!!

 

wow that was foolish, its gonna cost more then rings and bearings, new bore and hone and new piston to replace the one with a hole in it right now possibly a new crank and so on

I know it is gone cost me a lot of bucks but how do i know what model this is so that i can buy the parts??

 

If it's a Yamaha kart motor , it would be a (KT100). Other than that being it's a two strocke, what CC is it?

 

It came out of a scrambler. 2 cylinder. 185cc or 200cc. single carb. 2 coils. electric start.
