Newberg is not on the beach. I'm on hwy 99W which is one of the main hwy's to the beach, but its an hour drive from my house to get there. Yes, there are a ton of outstanding places to ride. What ever you like, we got. Sand, mud, rocks, hills, water, and snow. You can pretty much ride in the snow anytime of the year, depending on how far up you want to drive. Personally I like the mountains and all the challenges that they offer.
