opinions on new raptor
Hi everyone. I just wanted too ask for your guys unbiased opinions on the new raptor 700. Ive had 2 strokes in past and didnt like how they performed in the woods. one of my buddy's just got a new yfz and it feels very similar because u have to wring its neck and keep the revs up. the raptor seems more suitible but ive heard they have weak frames. any opionions would be greatly appreciated.

If you are talking the Rator 700 it is arguably the best trail bikes made.I have never herd of week frames on any of the Raptors. The 700 frame/suspension is allmost same as the yfz450. There were some engine/carb issues w/ early 660's but they were descent quads as well.In my opinion the 700r is the best trail quad avail, w/efi and the low end torque that it has it is a real pleasure to ride all day long esp for bigger/taller guys.

thanks for the replies, i am talkin about the 700. Ive only heard good things about them except the frames. I think t was on bluetraxx they had a topic aboiut the week frames. but how do they compare as far as speed and acceleartion compared to the yfz? I dont need a rip snortin race bike but i dont want my buddy's with 450's to be walkin me to bad on the fire roads

i have herd of a couple of the sub frames breaking. most were airing it out big or took a good crash.(its not something i whould worry about) with the 700 it will keep up with 450s no problem as long as your not on a track. with just a barker duals exhaust, power commander 3 efi and intake most are getting 53-54 hp and a ton of tourqe.

i have the atv dirt wheels magazine and they compared it to a 700 kawisaki and it seems that the 700 is better...i have an 05 660 raptor and it runs perfect in the trails
i have that same issue and IF you read it it says they are NOT comparing the two bikes they are completely diff... for different riding styles.. one is shaft driven and the other is chain.. two totally diff bikes...
