Racing Fuel?

Ive been thinking adding 110 into my raptor 350 but owners manuel recomends not to, due to the lead and methonal could damage the pistons, valves etc.
What do you think??? ^Serious damage or just another exagerated percaution?

rode my 1400 suzuki intruder to the drag strip, knew I would need gas to get back home but after watching races all evening, the gas station was closed. My racing
"FRIENDS" said they took care of the gas so we wouldn't have to stop. They didn't bother to tell me it was 114 octane racing fuel. LOL. No problems getting home, DEFINATE power difference.
Kept my keys in my pocket for the locking gas cap at next weekends race!

the only reason you need high octane fuel is if you have raised the compression of your motor.high octane fuel is more stable than lower octane fuel.how high octane fuel helps you is when you raise the compression of your motor and the piston is about to hit the top of its stroke the lower octane fuel may detonate to early where the higher octane fuel will hold together until it is time to detonate. If your motor doesnt have a high compression piston or have the head shaved then your stock compression is probably not high enough to use high octane fuel.It wont hurt your motor but its a waste of money. If the compression of your motor is stock then whatever the manufacturer recommends is fine.
