opinions on what grade fuel
#21
hey, run 93 in it or 91 whatever is hi octane in your area. I actually add a little octane bosster to my warrior, and gas addative to my big bear ( i run whatever in it though) the addative is just to keep it running like it's brand new... Plus I get the stuff for free.

Embler,
I did some research for ya. I searched around my area and if you read on this link you will find that 91 will help you alittle in horsepower. It's proven. You won't feel the gain of a horsepower or two but still. Take Care!</end quote></div>
thanks.</end quote></div>
That link is talking about comparing pump gas 91 octane to high octane race fuel, I don't see anything saying that 91 is proven to make more power than 87.
I say theoretical embler because not every motor is the same, and not everyone rides in the same conditions, same temperatures, same altitudes, etc. It depends on the situation, which is why some people have pinging on 87 octane while most others run fine.

I understand that. I ride in very different conditions, from dry and flat, to muddy and lots of water. the altitude changes where I ride, while not drastically. I'd rather be on the safe side of things. I don't want pinging at anytime of course.

If you've got an extra dollar a tank burning a hole in your pocket then go for it, but for most situations there is no tangible benefit IMO. Aside from a little more carbon on the head you're not going to harm anything by running 91-93 on a stock machine.
