I am confused with these numbers.....On the yamaha grizzly does it have a vin number and also a motor serial number. Or is there only one number?

I believe it's the same thing. If I remember correctly the number on the frame will match the number on the engine.

What about it? If the motor is swapped out there's nothing much to say, they're just not going to match. I don't see why it would cause a problem, registration and everything goes by the number stamped on the frame.

The engine no. and the chassis no. is not the same no.
I don't know about the VIN but the engine no. and chassis no. is definitly not the same no.

Is there maybe a way I can get my model no. from my enjine or chassis no. ??

The number stamped on the frame, usually on the bottom left side tube near the engine, is the vin number/serial number.

The serial number on the engine is typically stamped on the top of the engine case underneath the carburetor area.
