I just put the gyt-r aluminum silencer on a bone stock Raptor. After riding for about a week, today i pulled the plug to see how lean it was running now(i assumed it would be) and the plug was very black covered in thick black deposits. I was wanting to re-jet with bigger jets, but now i dont know. At first i thought the bike was alot faster with the gyt-r, but the more i ride it, i think its just alot louder! Im at about 3300ft elevation.

Any ideas?

could be your altitude. I can't remember exactly but it seems to me like the last time i jetted mine I was talking to lrd about getting a general idea for my upped displacement and I think those guys jetted in 15 degree temp. increments and 1500 foot alt. increments. so if you're jetted at sea level and went to 3300 you'd be way rich, maybe so rich that even with the pipe youd be a jet to big. try opening up the air box(havent seena raptor one yet so i could be blowing smoke. i know it helped my old warrior)to increase flow and you should lean out a shade. hope this helps
