Default Beartracker RPM Shoots to the Moon

So I have a bear tracker and I honestly havent a clue what is wrong with it. Problem: When I start it, it goes straight to the highest rpm that it can go, like the carb is just dumping fuel and air into it. Second, the throttle cable is broke so no tention on the thumb. So I took the cover off the carb, and even when you flick the lever nothing happens, you cant get the thing to come down from full rpm. I also dont wanna leave it running long like that, actually its so high I gotta turn it off after 5 second for fear of explosion. HELP

Theres got to be a huge air leak somewhere( or it wouldnt rev), and the slide is being held open. Make sure the idle speed screw is backed off, and nothing is preventing the slide from closeing.
Gotta fix the throttle cable first, and check the rubber manifold between the carb and head for leaks and cracks.

I had a similar problem. The end was broke off the cable at the carb end. When I went to attach the new cable found the spring that keeps throttle closed had fallen apart...I cannot find a replacement spring anywhere without buying the entire carb!
