raptor 660 problem

Default raptor 660 problem

My 01 raptor idles out of wack. Sometimes out of nowhere the bike will start idleing real high without me touching the throttle.I have to keep playing with the choke. thanks for any help.

Do you work on your own equipment? I would try the process of elimination.

Maybe take a can of starting fluid, and with bike running spray a little around the intake boots, and see if it revs up, possibly indicating bad seal allowing it to suck in air.

turn off the fuel, disconnect the fuel lines and blow through them to make sure they are clear.

Then you could take the carbs off and clean them out, be very carefull not to misplace and parts.
These are just a few small things.

check throtle cable! Does engine race when handle bars are turned and then idle when straight?
