finally happened to my Griz

Default finally happened to my Griz

this is just how it was when it let go,the part in the hub and the end of the axle,,,the part in the xfer case in the last pic is the part i removed from the axle on the trail and inserted it into the xfer case to keep it clean until i got home

Default finally happened to my Griz

Yhea you broke the cv joint, you didnt mess up the actually hub at all. All you will need is a new complete axle. The ball bearings went in those grooves and that is what allowed the axle to turn and move freely. If you had all the ***** then you might be able to grease and clean the axle and hub reinstall everything with a new boot and c/v boot bands and still use that axle. If there is any damage to either side though it could bind or cause a clicking noise.
