98 Banshee - No Spark???

I'm working on a friends '98 Banshee, he was out boggin' on it and had it in deep enough water to have the silencers under the water. I found no water in the transmission oil, very little in the airbox but it won't start and there's no spark. We've tried checking all the plugs for water/mud, they seem fine and have even changed out the ignition module for a Dyna aftermarket and still no spark. How can I tell if the CDI is shot? This bike has maybe 3-4 rides on it, maybe a tank of fuel burnt through it as well. The plugs aren't fouled and we're grounding the plugs off of the cylinder head bolts. Does it matter if only one plug is grounded and the other isn't? There's no way it can be the stator IMO since the bike isn't even a month old! Just checking in here before spending the money on a CDI unless there's something else we can try out?

I'd be surprised as can be if it's the stator. I mean most quads, even sport quads can be submerged pretty bad and still survive. I've had my Raptor through some pretty deep creeks and it's never missed a beat. Doesn't mean I abuse my quad either because I'm not afraid to use it, and it sure doesn't mean he abused it either. He really respects his machine and this hole caught him off gaurd how deep it was, enough that he won't ride the same area again due to the fact it's too wet there. We found out in another forum that the coil is supposed to have ~15 Ohms resistance across the leads and there was none, looks like the coil is shot, there is 50 OHMs coming from the stator, so it looks like there stator is fine. Thanks for the help anyhow.
