Default 450 question

im really thinking about getting a 450 . Most likely it will be used but maybe new. But i would like to know if it would be a good buy or not?... i no stock from the dirt wheels mag, it tops out at 76, which is great, but the thing I LOVE ABOUT it is that it HAS REVERSE! This makes it great for me bc i do a lot of trail riding and little track with my friends.... but what i wanted to know if this is a good 450 to but???...

thank you for the HELP!!!

Yup, you'll have to learn to think ahead because the YFZ450 has no reverse. I don't have much problem taking my YFZ on the trails, but it's not specifically what this quad was designed for. Just get a set of good skid plates and use the clutch a bit. Otherwise, the YFZ really shines on the track...

Default 450 question

I was in the same boat looking to buy a 450 ,find a KTM dealer near you go see the 450XC do research on web lot of good things about this bike,i just bought one and it is a BLAST.this bike maybe to powerful for me but yet this bike can go anywhere(exept big mudholes)but then again if you go fast enough?.it has reverse that works with the cluctch awsome for watching out for that tree. The only flaw is that it is new to the world, and is expensive new,I grew up on yami's and kawi's but this bike is something that will shock every atv fan, racing or playing,it is worth the money, unless you fish.

The KTM is excellent. Like you said, the downfall is that it's new to the world. The 525XCs I know have a few issues I'm sure will be cleared up by next year. If you can afford one, it's an excellent choice.
