I hope somebody can help me here, I don't have enough money to take it to the dealer, I got a really good deal on a 01 Raptor, with all kinds of goodies. Big Bore kit, cam, all the good stuff. I bought unwisely, thinking I was getting a good deal. The machine is a little ragged out, when I bought it, it would try to crank, but wouldn't like it had a dead battery.

Come to find out, that was not the problem.

After taking the head off, the cam chain was in extremely bad shape. I replaced with a new one, and put back together, she cranked awesomely before I put the fuel tank back on, once I got it together, it cranked and fired right up, ran like a raped ape, but when I shut it off and tried to restart, it started doing the same thing. If I mess with it for awhile however it will start.

What else should I be looking for, or is it just because of the high compression?
