Default new carb on a blaster now it won't idle right?????

WTF?

my cousin has an '01 blaster and he already put on a fmf power core 2 and fatty pipe and now we just put on a PWK 30mm carb and it won't idle

we tried adjusting the idle screw and it made no difference, i couldn't get it to idle with my thumb slightly on the throttle, the idle kept racing up with just a touch of the throttle

it also came with a couple other jets, a 148, a 152 and some other longer lookin' thing, i don't remember the number on that

any clue to what the problem could be???

i kind of had the same problem but mine would only idle when the choke was full on... try doing that and if it idles... you ate a retard sandwhich like i did and mixed the jets up. i guess it's what happens when you get excited

hmm well just for ***** and giggles take the float cover off the bottom of the carb and make sure you do have jets in there. and also go find a diagram online for the carb and see what jets they have in it for OEM. and since he has a differnt exhaust you might want to go a jet size up. it sounds like the three jets you have are the three that go in the carb 2 main's air fuel and a pilot

you're killing me here. you have the jets that came with it... inside your carb you have 3 holes for those jets.

here is a diagram you'll have to find your carb and then look for the size the first page look at item 21 and 36 as an example

are you sure it's the right carb... seems to me 30mm are for freaking mopeds. and after you check the jets make sure you clean the spark plug cause most likely you fouled it out. or that could be your problem there is while you were messing you fouled the plug
