I know this has been discused a few times already but I forget so.. Does anyone know for sure if the K&N air filters for 99 Kodiaks work on the 2000 and up ultramatic models? I tried to get one yesterday but he said there's no part number for it.

thx!

I've had a K&N on my 2000 Kodiak since the day I got it. The one for a 99 Kodiak is exactly the same.

Is your 2000 Kodiak an Ultramatic or the 10 speed version? I don't know if you guys even have the 10 speed 2000 Kodiaks in the states but in Canada we have both.

I assume you do have an ultramatic, but just to make sure...

thanks!

Quadfather, did you have to buy any adapter for the K&N to mount in your airbox and do you have to perform much maintenance on it? I have been running a stock filter but will probably go to a K&N. Sounds like no jetting is required.

No jetting was required. It fits right in. I do beleive that I am going to get the pro-flow adapter for it.

DId you have to take apart the old filter and use the plastic pieces so it fits directly in the airbox?

The K&N comes equipped with the tabs on it, it's ready to go.
