Default Started tearin down the motor...

Ok, well my blaster made a sqeaky noise when u kicked it over. I fired it up and it warmed it up and it died out. It wouldnt start. i think the noise was a bottom bearing. So i started tearing it down and i found its got a broken reed. The top one and it was just laying in there ,!!! **** lol. Well can a broken reed make it sqeak and not start??? When i turn the motor by hand its not sqeaking but i might not be able to turn it over fast enough or something to make the noise! And suggestions?

BTW tried a new plug, had spark, checked the jets and float all were clean and worked without flaw. It had fuel, air (reeds maybe), spark, and good compression. Piston looks ok, and no scratches or anything in the cylinder. Piston rotated smoothly. so WTF! lol thanks everyone. OHH and i checked the tors all seems well there to....

Well I would try the new reeds first for the cost issue and see if that works if not then tear away...
