I have a full pipe on my bike and at the very top of the rpm range, it acts like its hitting a rev limiter and cuts out. It was 22 degrees out on sunday. We raced for an hour and a half and it acted the same all day. Does anyone know what condition could be causing this to happen?

any help is greatly appreciated

It's running too rich. Take the air box cover off and run it down the steet and see if that fixes it. If it does, you'll want to modify your air box since you need the lid to hold the filter in place. Mine did the same thing when I first jetted it and the air box modifications fixed it.

Mike,

Glad that helped!

Feel free to take a look at my lid modifications. It won't win any beauty contest, but it works! I used a dremel (I think that's what it's called) to do the cutting. I left the plastic alone that runs along the top of the filter, just in case any water came in it would not dump directly on top of the filter.

I took mine to the access road (it runs parallel to I-35) yesterday to try out the air box modifications to make sure it doesn't bog at top end. The speed limit on the interstate is 70 mph and it kept up with the cars w/o any bogging. Your's should now do the same.

Have fun...
Bart

Why don't you try going down on the main jet size if you are to rich instead of cutting the airbox?
Seems simple to me.
