Default Yamaha serial #

I know I have a 2006 by the 10th digit in the serial # but I don't know if in is a 400 or a 450 or if it is a hunter or one of the others. Is there some way to tell from the serial #?

Just look at the "drivers" side of the engine block just above the Pull-start handle... you will see 421cm3=450 or 401cm3=400 cast into the block... [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

I don't know how decode the VIN's but I am sure a quick call to a Stealership will give you the answers [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
