Has anyone challenged their Raptor against the ultimate Honda trx250r? That would be the ultimate test for the Raptor. No more tests against these new atv's. How about a test against the atv of the century?

What if the Raptor did beat a 250R, who would you get to believe it other than maybe a few Raptor owners?

Ive seen both TRX's and LT's (250r) beat piped banshee's in long drags so I guess they could take Raptors. As soon as I get my LT250R finished im fairly sure I could beet a stock Raptor in a drag. Of course you know either way on the track or in the woods the Raptor would be desimated!!

I have not raced a TRX250R but I have raced Banshee and 1 LT250R and beat them both really bad. The LT had alot of mods. All the Banshees had was a set of Toomeys and another had FMF's and air filters.

I just came off a 295r okay a CT 310. I don't think any quad will beat a 250 on a track due to how light a 250 is and all the aftermarket stuff you can buy. However, I like the new technology the industry has been needing, Okay no quad is the perfect quad, but now having some time in the saddle on my Raptor I don't miss my 295 AT ALL! My experience is in the dunes and I was tired of revving my quad to the moon all the time. My piped Raptor will beat any 250 in the dunes, maybe not shooting hills, but thats just a maybe. I don't want to be bashed by 250 guys, I loved my Honda, but like my Raptor better. It jumps awsome and has excellent suspension for a stock quad. I own a 400 ex also and it just plain wont't keep up in the sand. No bashing please, this is just my experience.

I hate to ruin your day but a riding buddy of mine has a 1990 LT250R with a Dyno-Port Racing built motor that is extensively ported with a CT Racing pipe and he can get me out of the hole but I fly around him in 3rd. gear. No contest on top end. I kill him. Sorry.

You can mod out an LT just about as much as a TRX. With the same mods the LT will blow by the TRX no doubt. Ive seen 330rs both Honda and Suzuki take piped SHEES apart in a drag. And I hear a piped banshee beats a Raptor

Ok, I had a 88 TRX250R until about four yrs ago. It had an FMF exhaust, 86 ATC250R head gasket and jetting done to it, Now I go and buy a Raptor and put on a GYT-R exhaust and jet it. The results- My TRX was an awesome machine- THE!!! most perfect handling machine you could ask for, however; the Raptor has just more arm-straigtening power and speed. Just a note to back that up- We brought our Raptors to the local tt races and in almost stock form beat out all pro stock 250R's we finished 1 and 2 that night. I know I'll take heat from 2 strokes but I still love ya anyway!
