thank you for the info. can u help me more. ok let me explain how its acting to u n see if u can give us any useful info. when we start it up, it will idle just fine but when we push in the throttle, it will not rev up like it should do. it will just go like putt, putt n keep doing it n then backfire. we checked the carbrators n all already n it doesnt seem to be those so we think it may be the timing but not sure yet. do u know any other reason y it would be popping when u push in the throttle n then backfire but idle fine.

 

It's your parking brake limiter or your reverse rev limiter kicking in. Lots of topics on this and other forums about this, search and you shall find your answers.

 

someone else told us that it sounds like the spark plug is fouling out but we will try all the suggestions if the new spark plug doesnt fix the problem. y would the parking brake or reverse rev mess with the reving of the engine from the motor.

 

how can we bypass the parking brake or the reverse rev. what wires do we gotta by pass n how can we tell if that is it. what do we look for n where n how can we get rid of it.

 

hi. thank u for ur help. we got the raptor fixed. it turned out to be the parking brake sensor. it was stuck n wasnt fully in or out so the sensor wasnt allowing it to rev up. we didnt have to go as far as cutting the wires but if it happenes again we now kno what we gotta do. thank u.
