I am planning on purchasing a set of toomey t5's but my rideing area has strictly enforced noise levels. Has anyone tried the hush kit for the t5 pipes? any drawbacks? how much power loss? do you need to rejet? ect. ect.... Thanks for any input.

Peace im out....

Buckshot...I have the hush kit on mine and have noticed NO decline in power. According to Toomey there is no need to rejet and you actually gain a microscopic amount on top. I haven't noticed that it is a LOT quieter but my friend [who is newer to quadding and usually rides behind me] said it is much quieter. I have noticed that it takes that high pitched kind of "ping" that seems to echo thru the nieghborhood. It is said that it will bring the db's down to what the stock warrior is [around 87 db's]. When you are at low speeds it definately does. I also put on the Toomey 2:1 filter kit which I think is awesome. I seemed to get a huge boost in power across the band. The only draw back is I get a LOT more engine noise thru the carbs. That may be why I don't hear less noise from the quad but my friend does. All in all I think both of them are excellent products and worth the money. If you have questions feel free to email Toomey. They seem to be waiting by the computer and fire back replies almost immediately.
