i recently purchased this quad and i cant get it to stay on if it starts the motor just idles for a bit then just dies i ended up taking the carb out and cleaned it with carb cleaner it helped but still shuts off anyone have any ideas

 

how hard is it to start? whats the plug look like? does it stay running if you give it throttle?

 

i didn't check the plug yet it help by hitting the throttle but eventually it died

 

sounds like maybe you need to pull the fuel bowl off and see if any thing is gunked up, maybe the float is sticking

 

i just checked the spark plug its looks perfect but i cleaned it up anyway
