What kind of racing? Both can be very capable racing machines. Seems the Yamaha is winning more races than the Zuk, but alot of it has to do with the rider. I like the YFZ better, and it seems like the aftermarket is stronger for the Yamaha.

Yamaha is not winning in MX this year...... Suzuki stomped in the MX....... the GNCC was another story with KTM jumping into the mix.....

But I think the one that is better.... is the one YOU feel best on.....

All these 450s are so good now, just pick your favorite color and you cannot go wrong.......

But if you are racing MX go with the LT-R450 since you won't have to invest in wider A-arms and rear axle as you will with the YFZ......

If you are racing in the woods or XC then the YFZ is probably better since you don't need or want 50" in the woods.....

Yeah, but every time I read any article on racing, Bill Balance has won something on his YFZ, not to mention he is an 8 time champion of the GNCC races - on his YFZ. But, I also have seen where Doug Gust and a few others are winning some races on their Suzuki 450. Like I said, alot has to do with the rider. I may not know what I'm talking about because I don't really keep up with the racing scene and I really don't care.

i really like the ltr but lately i been hearing bad things. like them blowing up and working on them is very hard. i have been told to do a piston change takes no less than 2 ppl on a ltr. yfz450 are great bikes that are super easy to work on and are proven on the track. and if u are looking to get into drag racing the yfz450 will **** on the ltr450.

all the 450s are pretty much the same, all their is to decide is what your favorite color is. i only rode one 450 and that was the ds, and ill tell you now that was a hell of a quad. if i get a 450 it will be the ds450. or mabye the outlaw mx450, but i already have one outlaw i dont know why i need another for...

also the bill ballance edition yfz is a great quad to, i belive its race ready off the floor, all it needs is a rider...
