I have a banshee that I have ridden on trails and it trails rides great but nothing liek my raptor. Banshee's are very fast though on open strieght aways i wouldnt ride anything else. I havent ever ridden a Lt250 so i couldnt tell you anything about them but i love my banshee. I would also go with the banshee due to it being an 03

I would go for the Banshee. The Suzuki doesn't even compare to the Banshee. The Banshee is bigger, more comfortable, more powerful, newer, has better suspension, and is way easier to find parts for.

these are good points about it being newer and easier to find parts for. but a suzuki 250 is a decent handling bike. its no honda 250R, but its light, it had a decent suspension and is actually a little faster than a honda 250r in stock form. with the t-bone seat they are pretty comfortable. i believe the 89 model has the powervalved 250 engine, so it will have more low end torque than the banshee, which you will appreciate in the trails. no year banshee is powervalved (though the rz350 street engine it is based on was).
what kind of trails are you taliking about? are they "slow"? some trails you can only go so fast no matter what you are riding. ive never seen a banshee that likes to be on trails. open fields ok; a banshee is great for open spaces but they are not that great at cornering unless you steer it with the throttle allot. thats what it was made for. its a ***** to the wall machine. it likes to idle or be wide open. no doubt the banshee will blow it away easily. and for waht it is worth a banshee is reasonalbly comfortable i just would not get one to ride trails (im assuming they are slower type trails).
