Default What a drag!!!

Our two atv's ('05 Kodiak 450, '07 Grizzly 350) both had to go it the shop today because they sat up for two months and one has a stuck float and the other won't idle. I'm new to the atv ownership, these are our first and they were both bought new. They have both sat up longer than this and never had a problem. What can I do to keep this from happening again?

drain the carb and tank of all fuel if you are going to store them any length of time. the fuel probably jelled up causing the carb floats to stick.

You could use Stabil in your fuel, pour it in and run the bikes for a few minutes so the stabil gets in the carb. Then you can shut the fuel switch off and run the bikes until the engine cuts off. This will run the fuel out of the carb, and any fuel that might be left in there will have stabil in it. If your quads sit for more than 90 days, drain the tanks and start over with fresh gas when you're ready to ride again.

Or it's more fun to just ride more often!
