I vote for the 700. I have had a Banshee, a 660, and I now have a 700. The 700 is an awesome machine. Me and my friends used to be 2 strokers, but we got tired of being towed out of the woods all the time, so we switched to 4 strokes.

Without a doubt, raptor 700. Goes everywhere a banshee goes and then some. 4 strokes are where it's at nowadays. However, if you want to drop another 10k in aftermarket parts, go for the banshee! LOL!

If you are going to doing any kida trail riding the 700 is king no doubt but if you are looking for a drag bike I would go Banshee. The 700R IMOP is the best allaround bike made!

noooooooooooo. go with the banshee. i have an 87 shee and i paid 1650 for it and i was going to get a 03 660 raptor for 3000. so i got the banshee and i love it so much and i take it on trails and drags and i beat everyone so i think the banshee is the best alll around machine. it has works shocks, stage IV head with 20cc domes, .50 pistons, dual stage boyesen power reeds, 40mm lectron powerjet SINGLE carb, fmf fattys with powercore 2 silencers., new plastic, powder coated frame, new chain to match the frame, new raptor front and rear tires, new control arms and brakes, stock sprokets, new scott grips, ada racing front brakes and throttle top, and new clutch. all this stuff was on it when i got it, so i pretty much stole it from him. you will always get a better deal on a banshee any way because there is so many of them and they always have some aftermarket stuff on it. raptors are new compared to the banshee. parts are really cheap for the banshee and expensive for the raptor too.

so what worth your money??? my banhsee has never had any bad problems either.

Hah, that's funny! I live in the mountains at 4200ft elevation. I know plenty of people with banshees and some with raptors. I have NEVER seen a banshee out on the trails...only the dunes. When you ask them why, they laugh, not for the trail! Oh, it will go down a trail, but c'mon, a loud two stroke that you have to keep rapped up in rpm's, or a four stroke you can blip over ruts and rocks and putt around without overheating! Needless to say, everyone with the raptors rides the trails here. Most have installed larger tires for more ground clearance. Just sayin....

After re-reading your post you said you love 2 stokes and want a banshee....then get one! Forget about the raptor. There are plenty of banshees out there for sale and would be much cheaper than a raptor 700. You will miss the reverse, fuel injection, no jetting, less maintenance.....but they still rock in my book! To me, the banshee is like the old honda 250R's and the Quadzilla's....legendary! I hate to see them stop mfr'g them, but 2 strokes are out thanks to the EPA and other greenies. I was hoping this would drive their value up, but it hasn't. In fact, it seems everyone is ridding themselves of them, probly because there are much better atv's out there nowadays! Oops, did I say that outloud! LOL! Sorry.....

Banshee parts cheap? They may be cheap, but you have to buy 2 of everything. Hope your crank never goes out. You'll have to take out a loan to rebuild it.
