What is everyone's opinion on the best tire for riding in snow? I'm looking to get a set of tires for my Mojave. The Relators look pretty cool but I'm not sure how heavy they are. In the past I had a set of Carlisle Trail Pros on a 250X and those tires were so heavy that they sucked power.

the best kind of snow tire out there are either the ohtsu pro wedge or the cheng shin knobby. Pro wedges are hard to come by and exspensive so i would go with the cheng shin. These are what i use for ATV snocross and always work great.

I like the Mud Sharks, they work well in the snow and mud. I also have a new set of Dirt Devil, but don't know how well there work yet, brand new.

I own a '96 Warrior and live in NH and see plenty of snow. Speaking from experience, the stock balloon tires worked the best for me so far. I switched to spider trax and all I do now is dig holes in the snow, my friend has blackwaters and the same thing happens to him. Stock might not be the best, but I wouldn't go higher than 2-ply, taking some air out of the tires also helps ALOT.

Hope this helps =)~

Thanks everyone. I'm thinking I my try some 2 ply Turf Tamer copys. They are 12lbs and if I custom groove them it might be the hot setup.

Stock tires on the raptor have to be the best snow tire I have seen. You can hang wheelies in the snow with them. A lot of people replace the stock tires as soon as they buy a new Raptor so they are probably easy to find. I gave mine away. Once I saw how well they worked in the snow I wished that I hadn't.

The stock raptor tires but there $$$, or the stock 400ex tires, any radial tire any other type of tire does terrible compaired to these two! Dont go with any other tire or you wont be getting the traction you could be. Also dont be fooled by deep lug tires and V bar type tire tread the suck in any terrain go with one of these two radials for max traction!
