Default more serious then i think

my 1995 warrior had a bit of smoke and flame came from the carb and then a loud bang then shout down by itself. i was just thinking it was from a dirty carb. i didnt try to start it after that happened. but took out the carb today and metal chips were all over the inside of the carb. the biggest one was about as big as an index finger. i know im in deep trouble. any help besides an engine change would be very helpful.. if so what type of motor would a bolt in type. even though i know it would make it easier. thanks.............

Just rebuild the engine you already have.

Nothing to it... you probably shattered the piston or fried it. Just get a new piston & rings, gasket kit, and have the cylinder bored at a machine shop. They even have kits you can buy where you don't even need a machine shop - you buy a whole new cylinder. If you can do the work yourself you can have it done for less than $300. Then if you get it running try to figure out why it blew up. Warriors don't just fry the engine for no reason. You may have dropped a valve if you revved it too high.

Sounds like you may have dropped a valve. Have you ever had them adjusted? Check the carb, even minimal damage will ruin it. Good luck.
