Opinions on banshee reliability?
#1
im looking into buying a newer bike when i sell my warrior, its either a 400ex, raptor660, banshee or a new bike from dealer if i can swing it, i was just wondering if banshees are reliable other then the engine? like do they have alot of electrical probs? ( hopefully not like warriors do) i ride alot of open trails and powerlines and fields by my house, im just tired of the 4 strokes i want something with real speed again something i can just taking off flying through the woods and pull high speed wheelies and also im tired of all the parts on the 4 strokers i just wanna try out a banshee ive ridden a few but never owned one. thanks

The banshee can be a very dependable quad, especially if you buy one with a stock motor that no one has messed with (yes, there are some out there!). It doesn't have a battery, since it's a kickstart, and the lights run off of the motor/stator when the motor is running, so I never had any electrical issues with my Shee. Always use the proper pre-mix ratios, and keep the filters clean, and you should have a great running quad!

Banshees are sweet, owned 2 in the past both with minor bolt ons and i just ran the recommend oil ratio fired first kick every time great bike hope to own another some day. Al tho i wouldn't recommend it for big guys im 6 4 300lbs and it beat the crap outa me it was sure worth it tho >.<

Yes, the shee is a fairly reliable bike. Although it is a 2 stroke..The rear axle carrier on my 1987 shee took a crap, but they have changed the design and took care of that problem.
