Compared to today's quads, Warriors are slow. There are not enough modifications that you can do to a Warrior to make it real fast, so if 58mph is not fast enough for you buy something else.

A Warrior is a good woods riding machine--the low end torque is unbeatable. As far as racing/dragging goes--they are not quick stock. There is a ton of aftermarket stuff for Warriors, I am not sure what Scrambler is talking about as far as there being bad aftermarket. Since they made the bike from 87-04 and the Rappy 350 is similar there is an endless supply of aftermarket stuff for that bike. However, if you want to make it as fast as the new bikes you are going to have to drop a ton of money into it--and if you are just looking for top end speed they just aren't the way to go.

I had a 2001 Warrior with an FMF system and jetting and it would hit 65-70 with a 15/38 gearing. It had enough pop to run with a 400ex pretty well.....
Stock, they are probably a 60mph machine at best. But they are not really built for speed. They are more of a cruising machine. You sit really low in the saddle, not an aggressive position at all, and they are not the best handling machine. If they were a bicycle they would be one of those beach cruisers. If they were cars they'd be '64 Impalas with chopped suspension.... a cruiser that is fun, and can play well in the hands of the right rider...
But if you are looking for fast, the Warrior is not really the place to look....
