Want a banshee but need some info.First yfz front end what all does this entail is it worth it seen it done a couple times?I only plan on piping and filtering it.What's best pipes:fmfs, toomeys, lrd,dg,vito, paul turner? What's best mix ratio? What to look for when buying used?Do they have a nuetral light? How is the acceleration? Please no one try to sway me in a different direction. Thanks,Scrambler

As for pipes its all depends on your riding style, different pipes give different plus's, had 2 banshees, had fmf gnarlys witch were good for bottom and mid power, t-5's witch were good top end power and a set of Paul Turners witch I really didn't like, gave great great great low end but I swear it took away from the top end, CPI's are a good inframe drag pipe always wanted a set but never had the motor work to support it = [ and as for the filter I had on the carb style and in box with the lid removed I prefer the the in box style w/o the lid, didn't get as dirty and I felt it ran better. Oil wise I ran 32:1 so I just split a quart between 4gals of gas (8gals total) And as for the acceleration, I mean its a twin 350 2 stroke it pulls super hard but I could never get mine to turn 6th gear = [ but then again I ride sand so I bet one could on dirt with a lighter rider.

Boost bottles are supposed to help with low end/throttle response, I didn't think it really did much, it replaces the balance pipe for a lil bottle guess there okay for the like 50 bucks that they cost I believe fmf includes them in their pipe/silencer combo kits if yuo wanted to go the route. Haha I think all the banshee guys are now 450+ guys.

I ride a banshee that I have had since it was new in 96 I recomend tommey t5 pipes, a k&n filter kit and yes a boost bottle does make a difference but when you change your pipe you will have to re jet the carbs so while they are off i would recomend putting after market read valves in also they are only about 25 bucks and they help. and for all those 2 stroke hatters or should i say 450 riders "want to race"

Well you know the Govt is tellin manufacturers to end all 2 stroke applications due to emissions between 2 and 4 strokes... And since Yamaha is not makin Banshee's anytime soon, and I dont really see many Banshee's too tough (Raptors are takin over ). 2 strokes from what I hear have to get more rebuilds than 4 strokes but doesnt apply to 450's as they get reuilds 2-3 times a year on average.. Never been a 2 stroke owner but know a lot of people who ride both 2 and 4 stroke... YFZ front ends didnt come about til the YFZ came out in 04.. So prior models before I dunno... Cant help you on the electrical as I'm not that keen of knowledge.. I dont even work on my own Raptor...
