Default Again with the warrior !!!!!!

God this thing is turning into a headache. So I was having fun riding in the mud one afternoon and I go to do a doughnut and accidentally stall it out. I try to crank it back up and it turns over but never cranks up. So I call my mom to bring my car with the jumper cables because the battery was low. It didn't even jump off, so I get it home and put it on the battery charger overnight. Now it doesn't even turn over, it just makes this winding sound. I have no idea whats wrong with it now, its been sitting up for 4 weeks now. My uncle told me it could be something to do with the one way clutch or something since it isn't even turning over. Just about all the electronic parts on this thing have been replaced so it couldn't be that. Any help is appreciated thanks.

did you have its ears pinned back when you were in the mud? if it is making a winding sound, it could be a broken timing chain. my mom had a dodge shadow that had that very symptom after a broken timing belt. it sounded like you were winding up a giant watch.

Sounds to me like the starter is making the winding sound and it's not engaging to turn the engine over.

If you put jumpers from a vehicle to the battery it probably fried your battery.

Did you take the cables off and clean the terminals? On Both ends? And you can jump from any twelve volt system.

Can, but run risk of toasting it if the car is started right?

I know car chargers will anyway.

During a starting cycle very unlikely. If you keep it hooked up to charge it may push more amps than the battery can handle. A car can push 60 amps or more and that is way more than the smaller batteries can carry. I'm not sure on the exact charge rate for the smaller batteries but I like to shoot for 2 amps for around 24 hours to get a battery recharged.

get an ATV battery tender. google that term. it keeps you fully charged when your not riding for extended periods of time. its a slow charge at a very low rate. like .25 of an amp.
