97 yamaha warrior

Default 97 yamaha warrior

yamaha warrior fires weak after replacing a burned out cdi box. i replaced it and now it fires weak and it trys to start but only smokes aliitle and wont finish fireing up/

if your nutral light dosent come on does it have any effect on the fire if so how do i fix it.

your stator is prolly weak, maybe your cdi box going up could have fried your stator because i know it is possible, try making your spark plug gap smaller and see if it fires up, i too am gonna have to get a new stator, mine wont start unless my plug has a very small gap.

really i dont know wat year my quad is the person i bought it from said it was a 90 yamaha warrior and my stator has three connectors two connectors have two wires and the other one has 4 wires. i think the cdi that was on it was a 97 and i put a 90 cdi on it . it was alittle diffrent but it works. ill try to make my spark plug gap smaller. ill also try to get a new stator for chirstmas. the like 150.00$


i got two more questions.

i cant get my timing make to line up perfect.

and after replacing all my gaskets was i suppose to put some kind of gasket sealer in the middle part of the caseing because i didnt and it leaks.
