Default warrior 350 question

my 93 was backfireing through the carb it ended up being vacume leak between the carb spacer and cylinder head, there's a rubber o-ring between the carb and spacer and between the spacer and cylinder head, you could spray some carb cleaner around that spacer and see if it changes the idle speed.
