my 02 banshee starts and idles kinda weak but when i give it mid range gas or even try to move it in 1st gear it shuts down. My mechanic thought it was the black box that control the taurus but he unplugged it and apparently it wasn't so he thought it was the coil but the coil seems to be fine. Any ideas or suggestions as to what it may be? we think its most likely an electrical problem. thanks.

 

Have you looked at the TORS or have the tors removed? Because if not thats what it sounds like to me.

 

there should be a black box under the seat somewhere 4 the TORS( thorttle over ride system) and make sure the connections are good, and try and see if the idle smoothes out when moving stuff around. what were u doing when this happen and how exactly did it start?

 

yea we tried taking out the tors and it still didn't work. We think it may be the choke because its broken but I don't know why it will idle but once you give it medium to high range gas it shuts down. Do you think this could have to do with the choke?

 

yea it could be, id try fixing it.
