thats a very good year 80, the 1980 cr80 was said to be one of the fastest "80s" they actually have a top speed around 72-74 believe it or not, and they all had red engines and yours is not a special model but i would keep cuz there getting rare to come across, i believe an elsinore model correct? 82 was when they dropped the name i used to have a 1976 Honda Cr250m Elsinore and it would do 84 mph i loved it. your bike will prolly smoke alot of 80s and some 4 strokers but a 125 will smoke you still. this is what you have correct? I still don't believe that an 80cc bike is hitting 70+ mph on stock gearing. What kind of speeds would that be putting the 250s at? or the 500?

stoopidbot if u dnt believe it then look it up somwhere i know its hard to beleve but thats what they say, those 80s 4 some reason where very very fast 80s. the old 250s would do around 84 and the 500s would go 100+ my dad used to race an 83 cr 480 thats was actually a 520 when he was done and back then nobody coud touch the speed of that bike it had all upgrades u could get, pipe, reeds, filter, big bore, stroked, bigger carb, aftermarket flywheel it was crazy his would go over 120mph and it wasnt a drag bike or anything he raced open class and took it in trails and everything, and scrambler400 yea husky did make there own, its got there big symbol stamped on the side of the enigne and 87 was the last yeaer that they were made in Sweden actually, i think BMW owns husky now. im not sure

I guess I will have to see it to believe it. I know the Elsinore is an amazing bike. I can see the 80 pushing into the mid 60's but not the 70's. All I know is that the CR's are MONSTERS!!!! I still haven't come across a machine that did not have some sort of boost that could take my 500!

LilMan, I'm not downing your bike at all. I do no for a fact that a race between an 80 and a 125 will be won by the better rider. If riders are equal, the 125 has it, otherwise if the better rider is on the 80, the 80 can/will take it.
