Default Raptor 250?

From what I've read in the past the 250 is great for racing. The raptor 250 is very light And nimble and the suspension for it is good for jumping and taking sharp turns. Compared to other 250s in it's class... The 250 kills them in almost everything. One of the big things that separates the raptor 250from the other 250s is that the raptor is chain driven unLike the Suzuki 250 which is shaft driven. The only problem about the 250 is thAt it can get a little cramped for a bigger person. Also, since many people are starting to race this quad many aftermarket parts are available. Overall I think this quad is great for racing. Hope I helped!

I agree with mad dog, it would be a great quad for racing. I test drove one at the mn atv fair and its a super fun machine to drive. I'm 5' 11" and i didn't feel cramped on it even though it is small. If you're 5' 1", it will be the perfect size. My biggest gripe about the quad is its lack of reverse. but I love riding in the tight woods where a lot of the trails are dead ends so i use reverse a lot.

Also, if I were in the market for a 250 sport quad and not in a huge rush, I would wait till later this year when other manufacturers produce their answers to the rap 250.

yeah they will, you just can't have it in your name if I remember right. Depending on the state though you might not be able to legally ride it. When I was young I got in trouble once for being 15 on an ozark 250 with the 16 y/o age minimum though. So I doubt you'll be able to participate in an organized race until you're 16 unless you're on a 90cc or under machine.
