after reading all the bad stuff about the way the air cleaner seals to the air box i wanted to change it. first i looked in to the kit from pro-design but decided that 70 buck was too much to spend so i just bought a k and n fliter (5 inch long X 3.5 inch dimater with a 2 7/16 inch opening) and put it on a 5 inch peice of 2.5 inch o.d.pvc. then i cut the bottom of where the rubber tube attaches to the air box to make room for the pvc and glued it in place with plumers goop. it works great and no way dirt is getting in my motor now!!!!!! and i only had to spend 35 bucks and 45 min. to do it.

good job! I did the same thing, only I machined a piece of aluminum for the filter to clamp to.I don't know why Yamaha keeps using this system of theirs, even when they design a new quad (Griz,Raptor,...)they keep using it when they know that everone hates it.Same with the chain adjustment, look at a Honda you use one allen wrench, loosen two bolts, and rotate the axle carrier. Yamahas chain adjustment is the worst! Now after all that complaining I have to say that I love my warrior, I just think that some of these small details should have been redesigned years ago.
