Default 300ex vs. blaster

lt500???

no duh its faster then a 400ex, i mean it doesnt take a mathmatical genuis to figure that out, but were comparing an apples here.. dont bust out a watermelon just because you feel offended... but anyways, even a stock 400ex will beat a blaster such as the one you described. when the 400ex came out it was being called the banshee killer, so unless that blaster can beat a stock banshee ( which i know it cant ), then the 400 will easily win the race.

back to the topic, i vote the blaster hands down.

Default 300ex vs. blaster

My cousin owns a blaster that has tommey t6's cpw 30mm carbs and bored .040 over. I raced him on the blaster and we were side by side untill he went into 5th he then started to pull ahead. And he can beat the 400ex all day everyday. And i didnt say the blaster was all stock. I said as far as i know its got pipe and jetted. When i bought it the guy didnt know what was done he said the guy he got it from had it bored new reeds and all. But wasnt sure what exactly was done. So for all i know it could be built. But dont call me a liar. I mean why would i wana come online and lie about a blaster beating some crappy honda. I mean a stock blaster and a stock 400 duh the 400 will win. The other blaster i have is all stock besides exhaust and the 400 beats it.

I think that there is a lot more done to it than what you think. First thing is the Toomey B6 has an enlarged manifold, this is the pipe we ran. secondly you said that you are running a 30mm carb, this would tell me that there has been a fair amount of porting that has been done. Thirdly, with a 30mm carb I am not sure you can fit the stock air boot on it, my guess it has an open air box system and now you are talking a full mod machine. Now you say you just bought it. If you got a good deal on it because the dude didn't know what he had good for you. Take care of it. The blasters are quick, we raced them 2 years but when you strectch the motor out like we did it was a maintance nigthmare. It got a new piston every 5 shows. But it was fast, just now quite as fast as a 400.

I have an 03 blaster and it will beat out a 400ex. Why, because I have put quite a bit of money in it but also know one ever really thinks about the 400ex only having five gears. It would smoke me off the line but in enough length I would walk past the 400ex.

Blaster would beat 300!!!

lol blaster get beat by warriors, warriors get beat by 400exs....so comparing a blaster to a 400ex even stock that blaster better be built...i mean thousands to stick with a 400ex, i dont knock any brands of atvs or dirtbikes, if you do thats just pathetic, 400exs are awesome quads and so are blasters, a blaster stock vs stock im pretty sure will take a 300ex.

I'm sure there is an explination here. You might be built like stuart little and the other guy might have been built like godzilla? In some run what you brung races I've watched the 400ex eat banshee's and ...you know what ...blasters in all states of tune. Did you race more than once? Did the 400ex have bald tires racing on dirt? Alot of thing can contribute to one winning on any given day. Thats why we race cuase under the right conditions last place can take out first. Jlsparky7 eluded to this earlier.

There is no debate here. If these quads are all stock, and riders of similar skill, in a drag, a Blaster WILL NOT EVER beat a 400EX or a Warrior. Period. End of story.

But, it should beat a 300EX.

We raced several times that day. Dirt and road. Still came out ahead every time. But if were talking stock to stock im sure the 400ex would win. but a stock 400 wont beat a stock banshee. 400exs didnt impress me one bit when i rode one.just my opinion

stock 400exs are a little slugish stock but they have good torque and handle good, when you start to mod 400exs they can get real fast, you can make 400exs stay with 450s on the track and drag racing without to much of a problem.
