How to set up a Banshee for MX

I have an 05' completely stock (except nerfs) banshee.
I'm sure there are many on this site with MX experience with a 2 strokes, and I have a few exceptions to general upgrades that I need to customize the machine to my riding.
On occasion I ride rough, tight, very technical trails that require ground clearance, for this reason I can not afford to lose tons of it, especially in the rear tires as my gearbox is a major target for rocks.
I will be constructing a figure 8 dirt course this year including a decently sized double, a tabletop, a banked hairpin, and a flat hairpin (may change this slightly). I have some holeshot tires, as well as some ITP Mudlites that I have to use in the snow b/c my holeshots move nowhere in snow above 3 inches. I have holeshot front tires as well, I think they are the same size as the stock dunlops I have.
Other than the tires the only mod accessible to me without buying anything is a sprocket that is a tooth or 2 down in the front, I haven't counted and the previous owner doesn't know exactly, he just knows it has less teeth....
I'd like to know if this kit offered here is worth the price ( it's the second one down on the list called the Pro MX & Pro TT Kits)

idk how much I'm willing to spend, especially b/c I don't think I have the experience to install the thing safely, but I'm interested in this. I know I could use low end power, but I can't lose all of my top end power.
I know my needs are a little odd, but if anyone could shine some light on the topic, especially the kit, it would be a big help to me.
If anyone else knows other cheaper mods that add to my low end I'd be all ears :-)

Lets see..Set up a Banshee for MX.
Go back to stock gearing, if mods take away top end,you can mess around with the gearing using stock as a base line.
Paul Turner Pipes
+ 2 rear axle
Nerf bars
YFZ front shocks and A arms
maybe the trinity single carb set up but will lose top end
Those mods would help handling and low end torque. Get rid of the crappy stock air filter set up and get a K and N,remember to jet the carbs.

its rare to find mx banshees but i have seen a few that did real well, the lack of bottom end power is one thing that takes some time to get used to on the track, what scrambler said seems like a good setup, if i were you to get the best idea how to set it up go to bansheehq. com theres some people there who run mx with banshees.
