Default 01 Yamaha Raptor starting problems

i recently let my raptor sit in a garage while i was in winter vacation. then when i came back my atv wont start. when i hit the starter switch the solenoid clicks and a buzzin sound comes from somewhere around the starter. I replaced the starter and a new battery but it still wont start. if i tow it with a car and pop it into 1st gear, it will start
Any Help please? i think the starter clutch is going

Check all connections from the battery to the starter it self. Sounds like there maybe a bad contact, like the ground. This would include starter relay, switch, solinoid and any wires inbetween.
