did you ever get any help on this? I'm sure by now you have figured something out, haha. for those who might read this and need help I've got an extremely easy solution to setting the mixture after snorkeling a 400cc big bear.

I just bought a 2008 400cc 4x4 big bear for my girlfriend and snorkeled it before the first payment was due. I attached the snorkel to the existing rubber intake hose, I just cut the very tip of the hose off, turned it to come out the left side of the bike behind the carb and slid a 1 1/2 inch pvc pipe right in there nice and snug. of course it was running too lean after the snorkel was installed.

long story short, the only thing I had to do to get the mixture right was put the end piece that I cut off of the stock intake hose into the intake hole inside the airbox and it was a done deal. it fit perfectly in that hole like it was made for it. no more mixture problems. on top of that, when we get sloppy and swamp it and the air filter gets wet, we can simply take that piece out of the hole and give it that extra air in the mixture until the filter dries out. if I didn't think of it myself I'd call it ingenius!
