Default Mods for my Warrior

Looking for some more power out of my Warrior... how do these respond to a hotcam? I don't want a regrind incase I want to change it back out to stock.... Lighter piston? Whats some other options that aren't real expensive.. is going to a 14 tooth sprocket a good idea with 20in tires?

so far my mods are

Cobra Jet Pipe
Re-jetted carb
air filter

Thanks and I love this four wheeler I've owned it since it was new in 2001!!

If you want my opinion save up your money and put that towards a new quad. Its very expensive and time consuming to make a warrior fast.

If you really like the quad and want to dump some money in it then a high compression piston and cam are a good place to start assuming you have a pipe already.

Have you ridden other newer quads to judge how much you like yours?

a new pipe, cobras are horrible i had one, hotcams are ok, Webcams are better imo, but with hotcams you dont have to get heavy duty springs or anything as much as u would with a webcam, JE makes good pistons get a high comp piston and that will add some power, 14 tooth does work good with 20in tires, i use 20 inch razrs with 13 fr sprocket and i fly through gears very fast for being a warrior, i ride xc thats the only reason i kept the 13 fr

did you do the hotcam when you had stock displacement?

What did it change? Good increase in power?

Get rid of that Cobra pipe! Dump that pipe for an HMF Sport before you do anything else to your Warrior. It is sapping you of more power than the stock pipe. Put an HMF Sport on it and then put your HotCam in it if you are convinced you do not want to go with a Web.

don't listen to anyone else, when i was going to do mods to my old warrior everyone on this forum kept saying don't do mods to your warrior its not worth it get a new quad(thats not true i could beat 400ex's predators and other quads around the oval ice track, it just all depends on the rider not the quad)
The mods i think you should get is:
sell the cobra exhaust and get a muzzy full system
JE high compression piston
cam
extended axle
14th sprocket 20 holeshots and 21 inch kenda klaws up front
Port and polish
Possibly a bigger carb if you are willing to spend that much

If you just plan on drag racing than yeah i agree with jlsparky7 get a new quad but if you want to trail ride and just plain have fun keep the warrior their is nothing wrong with them. Like i said i was beating predators, 400exg, and other quads on the ice track and all i had was a wiseco high compression piston which made it a 357cc, a mild port and polish, dg exhaust, and 20" holeshots.

Its not that you can't mod a Warrior to make it beat other quads, its that by the time you do you could've spent that kind of money in building up a bike that is faster stock than a Warrior and have an all around even better quad. The Warrior's biggest pitfall, of all things, is the terrible stock suspension.

And there is no way you were beating Predator's unless they had no clue how to ride. No clue at all.

unless your a big fan of warriors or you like to make a sort of "sleeper" bike then it would be better to save the money and get a 400ex at least or something with more potential, but this is all choice some people just love there warriors and put what money they want into it just because they enjoy warriors and like making these old bikes keep up with 400exs z400s and stuff, most people i know just get a pipe/filter/jetkit and run the hell out of it till they get better at riding and step up to something else or just bored from it, i know i enjoy mine i dont regret puting the money into, but i drew a line here im not giving mine anymore upgrades, im pretty happy with mine i get alot of comments for having an old warrior like this that can haul *** for what it is.
