Default 2005 Raptor 660

My raptor squeaks or creeks whenever I push down on the rear suspension or just when I'm riding it around. It sounds like its coming from the rear arm. I'm new to atv's so it's my guess, but I was thinking maybe it's the bearings?

i dont think it will be your bearings. look at the rear, you have lubercation points. get a grease gun and lub them really good until new grease comes out. i forgot how many there are, but they are not difficult to find. that should help out.

i had the same problem with my raptor take your front swing are bolt this is very long runs the width of the quad clean it and lub with grease there are also to bolts holding the rear shock in place take the bottom and top bolts out and grease them also. this will solve the rear in squeak do this every 4 months or so to keep the bolts from rusting the front end will probably need it also

Another common squeak - the rubber bushings on the shocks. A little lube and it goes away.

Just grease all your grease fittings on the bike. I wouldn't screw with the swing arm bolt, that can be a royal pain and they can get you into much more trouble than you bargained for--they are prone to seizing and breaking.

not in the raptor i had an 01 Raptor and its was completley rusted and had no grease on it. I bought it in 04 and it hadn't been services once. if you can have the right tools i would do it.

Oddly enough when I loosened the rear arm bolt that connects to the shock (the smaller bolt) it stopped creaking. I had my buddy tighten the bolt as I pressed down on the rear end until it started creaking again. Maybe the bolt was on to tight? The bolt is on tight now just not muscled on.
